The Mill Village, Comber
Geminox boilers, hot water tanks, controls and flue systems are being installed at the prestigious Mill Village project in the heart of County Down in Northern Ireland.

The multi million pound development in Comber, which has just opened its next phase of show apartments to the public, has been hailed as one of Northern Ireland’s finest residential complexes – and it is certainly one of the most innovative in the Province. The project is breathing new life into a historic landmark site with a programme of luxury conversions, sympathetically balanced with limited new build, all within a landscaped and gated environment.

Geminox equipment was specified by White Young Green, thanks largely to the availability from a single manufacturer of a complete package that incorporates Geminox condensing THI boilers, fast recovery EBS tanks, controls and unique 'Cascade' flue systems. The ‘Cascade’ flue enables one flue exit at roof level with 5 boilers, one on each level connected to a common 110mm flue riser. This is the first ‘Vertical Cascade’ flue project for Geminox in Northern Ireland, the system can be used for up to 11 levels and 11 boilers using the same 110mm flue riser.

The client’s decision to choose Geminox-UK was also based on the desire to provide the most up to date technology, high efficiency heating, ultra fast recovery hot water and flue solutions to satisfy demanding design requirements, together with long warranties and the fact that our products have been world leaders in burner technology since 1999 when our 0.9kW to 9.9kW burner output was developed. The Geminox dual modulation boiler provides an easy solution to interface with the climate control heating provided by Unionaire, which can work at a maximum flow temperature of 50°C. The THI boiler provides a full power high temperature circuit for direct connection to the fast recovery EBS hot water cylinders and low temperature variable boiler output to the heating circuit.

Graham Wright, of developers WAD Developments says; “We certainly had no shortage of manufacturers from which to choose our heating systems but we were determined, right from the outset, to make our supply decision on the basis of quality.”

“Home owners may not actually see the boilers and flue systems – but they will feel the benefits of our choice and we are confident that the Geminox solutions and Unionaire provide the enduring quality which a development of this nature demands. We are delighted with our choice and with the efficiency of the service offered by the company.” Belfast company, Taylor Heating is the authorised service agent for Geminox products in Northern Ireland.

The mixture of Geminox-UK boilers and climate control Aermec systems by Unionaire have provided a low running cost heating solution with exceptional levels of comfort.
