Biomass and the MODUSAT

Oxford City Homes commitment to providing renewable energy to their new housing stock has led them to using the MODUSAT satellite together with a biomass boiler on a small communal scheme.

The unique design of the MODUSAT enables energy to be stored within each apartment, giving end user control over their heating and hot water requirements, but also effectively bring down the size of the central plant required meaning significant saving in the capital investment on the Biomass boiler.



The 14 apartments at Albion Place, Oxford City centre, are driven by just 75 kW of biomass boiler plant providing considerable reduction in C02 emissions.

Evinox provide the satellite units along with the ongoing servicing, remote monitoring and billing of the energy by using the in-built heat meters within the MODUSAT.
