Evinox Skid on Ice

At ICE, Higgins Homes latest development in Stevenage, the consultants ECC were faced with the challenge of providing heating and hot water to 238 apartments whilst keeping the carbon footprint low to meet increasingly more stringent planning regulations.

The Geminox MODUSAT together with the Evinox pre fabricated boiler skid provided a complete solution from one source. The unique design of the MODUSAT ensures energy is stored within each apartment bringing down the sizing of the centralised plant by up to 50% when compared to plate heat exchangers.

The Evinox skid was prefabricated offsite and included 4 x Evinox 350 B95 (295 kW each), plate heat exchangers, de-gasser, pressurisation unit, primary pumps and control panel. The factory tested prefabrication removes the need for plant room design and eliminates installation error thus saving time and money.

Evinox, the UK partner of Geminox boilers, will provide the remote monitoring and billing of the energy and water consumption by using the inbuilt heat and water meters within the MODUSAT.
