Tower Homes go Communal at Whitgift Street

Tower Homes are installing 76 Geminox Modusat satellite heating units at 2-14 Whitgift Street in Croydon. The main boiler room consists of only 435kW of energy which is all that is required to run the 76 apartments due to the unique design of the Modusat which uses at least 50% less energy than plate heat exchangers. The huge reduction in boiler power has provided a low carbon footprint for this project. 4 Geminox 10-100 condensing boilers provide the bulk of the heating load with a 35kW CHP unit providing the remainder.

Evinox, the UK partner of Geminox boilers, will provide the remote monitoring and billing of the energy and water consumption by using the inbuilt heat and water meters within the Modusat.
