Octagon developments, the award winning premium luxury home developer is integrating the Evinox AcuMen building intelligence system in all of their new properties. The AcuMen system controls and monitors all of the heating, hot water, ventilation and cooling systems to provide a comfortable, highly energy efficient home.

The purpose made AcuMen room controller, an example of simplicity of use with sophistication of functionality, has been designed to match the lighting system switch plates. The unit controls the room temperature of the UFH system and the fan speed and temperature control of the inbuilt fan coils for the cooling.

The embedded PC technology of AcuMen enables the homeowner to control and monitor the running conditions and running costs of the home via a touch screen or remotely via any web enabled device, such as an iPhone.

AcuMen provides the control interface between the different technologies of the Air Source Heat Pump, Boiler and Thermal Store to ensure each technology is working in harmony at optimum efficiency, whilst ensuring the client’s operational needs are always met.
